Simple meatballs that can be prepared in a short amount of time

Ingredients

  • 400g minced meat
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Method

  1. Take your meat out and let it warm up, preferably, reach close to room temperature.

  2. Preheat your oven to 200C.

  3. Take your onion and chop it to small pieces.

  4. Mix all your ingredients in a bowl and make sure the meat is coted evenly.

  5. On a baking tray prepare a baking sheet.

  6. Roll your meat in the palm of your hand in to small shaped balls, slightly smaller than a golf ball. I prefer to squeeze the mixture in the cup of my palm so they stick better. Rolling the ball is not advised until the ball has formed a uniformed shape.

  7. Bake the meatballs at 200C for about 15-20min. Watch for the signs that the meat is done. Juices oozing out and a light golden brown coating.

  8. Serve with mashed potatoes, tomato sauce, or anything you like!
