Simple meatballs that can be prepared in a short amount of time
Ingredients
- 400g minced meat
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Method
-
Take your meat out and let it warm up, preferably, reach close to room temperature.
-
Preheat your oven to 200C.
-
Take your onion and chop it to small pieces.
-
Mix all your ingredients in a bowl and make sure the meat is coted evenly.
-
On a baking tray prepare a baking sheet.
-
Roll your meat in the palm of your hand in to small shaped balls, slightly smaller than a golf ball. I prefer to squeeze the mixture in the cup of my palm so they stick better. Rolling the ball is not advised until the ball has formed a uniformed shape.
-
Bake the meatballs at 200C for about 15-20min. Watch for the signs that the meat is done. Juices oozing out and a light golden brown coating.
-
Serve with mashed potatoes, tomato sauce, or anything you like!
